Nepal Sampler

Scattered amongst terraced hill sides, little mountain villages greet us on our descent into the Kathmandu valley. Hindu temples, Buddhist Stupas, rolling country side and traditional brick built villages provide incentives for day trips as do the sister cities of Patan and Bhaktapur with their traditional art and architecture. An exciting excursion out of Kathmandu takes us to Chitwan National park where the endangered one-horned Asian rhinoceros can be easily viewed from the vantage of an elephant's back.
